Old Bill's Fun Run
by Steven S. Robinson

This years Old Bills event was extremely successful for your Rotary Foundation. We had 79 contributors who donated $12,454.13. These funds will primarily be used for local educational programs in our community. The majority of those who contributed were Rotary Club members. This was an increase in both dollar amount and number of participants from last year. As you may recall, last year we gave over 24 scholarships to local high school graduates in excess of $45,000. We also contributed more than $6,000 to local teachers to assist them financially with continuing education. This year we set up a two year nursing program with St. John's Hospital for the "Grow Your Own" program to assist local individuals to become licensed nurses at St. John's. Your contributions to the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole Foundation through Old Bill's helped make this possible. On behalf of the entire Rotary Foundation Board I want to thank you for your generous support. These types of programs have a very positive impact on our community and we should all feel proud to be part of such an outstanding organization as the Rotary Club. We are truly an organization that believes in and illustrates our philosophy of "service above self. Again, thank you so much.
