As part of the Divers Against Debris program, The Rotary Club of Gravenhurst volunteers teamed up with the Scuba Shack and local scuba divers to clean up trash off the bottom of Lake Muskoka below the cliffs at Ungerman Park. The event was coordinated by Rob Abbott.
Volunteers included Pam McDivitt, Kristie Jenkins, Eric Gonneau, Ramesh Khanal, Allyn Abbott and neighbour, Bruce Schulz. Eric, Allyn and Kristie hauled trash out of the water into the boat and sorted all the items. Pam, Ramesh and Rob waded in the water and helped the others work. Bruce shuttled divers’ gear and trash up from Lorne Beach. The Scuba Shack divers dove and hauled! They had arranged for free disposal at the dump from the District.
