2015 Rotary Golf Tournament

Christmas is over !   Snow is still here !  BUT we can dream about summer golf..... The date of Thursday May 28, 2015 is booked back at the gorgeous Bigwin Island Golf Club.  We had a sell out (almost) last year and anticipate the same numbers this year....so.....time to mark your calendars and contact your fellow foursome members (or new golfers who would like to join in)......  We will be following this initial email with more details later on but wanted to make sure you have this date marked.   Also, as our club members know our Gravenhurst Club originated this golf tournament many years ago, and in our wisdom invited the Bracebridge Rotary Club to join us.  It is an amazing full day of golfing fun, and lots of great reconnects with fellow Rotarians and fellow golfers.

 

Our club is again chairing this event, we usually do 2 years with our club, and then 2 years with BB club. Thank you to returning committee members, plus a big thank you to the day volunteers from our club ....   We are hoping to have some more of our members on this committee this year.   We start our meetings usually in March (one meeting) April (meet every other week) and then in May (each week)

 

It is up to our committee to

         (1) book venue ..all done

          (2) send out emails to golfers from 2014 

          (3) collect Silent Auction items, hole sponsors

          (4) work on details of the day,  menu, 

 ,                 etc (almost all done)

 

So, as you can see, it is not an onerous undertaking to be part of our committee....meetings only last 1 hour.  Please consider joining us for this year's tournament.  Hope to welcome lots of new members.
