Hello All,
This week our meeting was held in the restaurant, and what a meeting it was. We started by saying let’s enjoy some fellowship, followed be me saying I had nothing much to raise…….. That’s when our conversations started.
At varying times during the meeting, we managed to discuss or start organising the following upcoming events.
- Rotaract, the new closed support group on Facebook and planned events. To be discussed at our next board meeting.
- Group 5 joint Polio Plus movie fundraiser, Sue Cassidy taking the lead and organising the booking of two cinemas. The Foundation chairs of Portland, Port Fairy and Warrnambool clubs to assist with the raffle, and drive ticket sales at their respective clubs
- Discussion on supporting a Mortlake open garden fundraiser for drought affected farmers. Chris Preston to follow-up and coordinate.
- Discussion on a fundraiser BBQ to support the Warrnambool Men’s Shed. Ian Harper to get further information.
- Discussion on the Homeless program and support received from various not-for-profit organisation’s. A great effort from Glenn/Cheryl and sub-committee members.
- A reminder on the upcoming dog trials event being coordinated by Janey.
- Ann Barker spoke on our Literacy program at the Warrnambool Primary Schools. Ann to follow-up with the Warrnambool West Principal.
- A working bee was organised for Saturday morning to clear out the BBQ trailer and discuss the installation of the hot water service, all this prior to the new trailer having some maintenance issues fixed. Thanks Glenn and team.
- And thanks to Jan for reminding us that all members can contribute to the Bulletin, perhaps Jan is looking for a new role as Sub Editor 😊
There were many other conversations during the morning, I apologise in advance, for either my pen running out of ink or simply my memory failing………

Important Club Business
Its that time of the year again, members are required to nominate the club executive for the next Rotary Year before November 21st. Nominations will close on Tuesday November 13th, all nominees will be informed whether a vote will need to take place on Wednesday November 14th. If a vote is required, voting will then occur on Wednesday 21st of November at our regular meeting.
Please assist President Elect Liza with this important process, and I ask all members to consider nominating in the coming weeks.

- At our meeting on Wednesday the 19th’ we are holding a “Meet the Board – Q & A” Forum. A great opportunity for you to ask questions or raise any issues you may have on the running of the club. We look forward to a strong attendance,
