This week we welcomed 17 members of Daybreak to our weekly meeting.
Apologies from Cheryl Bellman, Ann Barker ,Sandra Batten, Mary Bouwman, Drew Giblin, Fiona Steinhous, Peter Smid, Ian Watson.
Guests included Reihan Patel, Cohan Kane, Georgie, Charlie and Ollie Milroy & Jess, Evie and Sam Bushell.
President Peter welcomed all members and guests and as you can see by the guest list, it was children’s day at Daybreak. Sam took the invocation and Charlie led us in the oath of allegiance.
Members Announcements
Bob reported on the grape picking at Newtons Ridge Estate Winery. 8 members attended and unfortunately this will be our last grape picking, as the owners are removing the vines and returning the land to Pasture to increase their beef herd.

Demo Dancing
This section of the meeting was run by Jess Bushell, ably assisted by all the kids. She made a fabulous dance instructor. Demo dances were ones that she had learned from Tiktok and she took the members through them bit by bit. Best part was, that we didn’t have to get up out of our seats. We could do them sitting down.
Dances, in order of being taught, were – the car, the nice dance and the droplet. Jenny Miller was named dancer of the day.

Following our dance class was the compulsory cream pie in the face game. For some reason the kids all love this one! Our two Barries, (Moran and Brooker) also had a crack at it. B1 ended up with just a tiny dob on the end of his nose and B2 managed to avoid the cream entirely.
Quiz – There was no quiz this week as the quizmaster (Sandra was absent)
Fines – led by Bob
Ian Harper – first go at grape picking and managed to cut his hand with the grape snippers
Sergio – putting his name down to help with grape picking and then was a no show
Barry B – Holding two parties at one. One for a 21 year old and one for a 14 year old. Made for a very noisy event
Ian Harper – again. Couldn’t find his car keys that had been left in his shoe. Eventually found them in another shoe!!
Ali – Chez couldn’t keep up with her on the way to grape picking. Ali says it was on cruise control. Must have been on find the wine mode.
Ian Harper – yet again. Rang B2 to see why he wasn’t at grape picking. Baz never put his name down as he had a family commitment.
