This week we welcomed 17 members of Daybreak to this morning’s meeting to our very first ‘Face to Face’ weekly meeting since Covid-19 lockdown #1. We received apologies from the following members President Peter, Chris and Janey, Liza, Mehul, Ann, Andrew S and Ian W.
Sergeant Barry invited Sandra to recite the Invocation and Fiona to call the Toast.
Vice President Geoff Grec, welcomed all members.
The focus of this morning’s meeting was friendship and fun and there was a lot of that, especially when it came to the fines session, as Sergeant Barry decided that everyone who didn’t attend last week’s meeting would receive a fine, so for those members who were apologies today, bring some extra coin with you for next week’s fine session!!
Grape Picking @ Newtons Ridge – Bob reminded us all of this very important upcoming fund-raising opportunity. At the moment we are awaiting contact from the owners regarding the date for this event.
Meals on Wheels– Bob advised members that the MOW roster will commence on Friday, 9 April @ 11.00am with the roster being circulated to members. Please advise Andrew Suggett if you are available to assist. MOW’s will take place every Friday @ 11.00am.
Bunnings BBQ – we have been given the opportunity to have a BBQ at Bunning’s this Saturday, 27 March so please spread the word to friends / relatives to call by for a sausage from Daybreak.
Volunteer Hours – a reminder for all members to advise Liza of the hours they have volunteered or attended on projects
Quiz – This week it was Bob and Geoff who had been putting in an extra effort with the ‘trivia studying’ for this week’s Quiz. Bob scored 3 points, closely followed by Geoff with 2 points and Peter S and Jennie all scoring 1 point each. After Round 9, leading the way is Janey (18.5), Bob (11), and Geoff (7).

31 March - Next week’s guest speaker is Ali Kemp, Manager Recreation and Culture with Warrnambool City Council. Ali will share with members the building design and vision for the services for the new $20.25 million Learning and Library Hub.
