Constitution and Bylaws If were are a fundraising entity then we must report to consumer affairs and must have a set of rules. Last year we adopted the Rotary Constitution and we now need to adopt the model rules or bylaws. They will be circulated to all members this week.

Centenary of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand Glenn and a couple of other members attended a meeting of the 4 Warrnambool clubs who discussed the proposal that we contribute to a section of the redevelopment of Lake Pertobe. The preference is to support the Eastern Marr Meeting Place with circular seating and a firepit in the centre, with a plaque dedicated to Rotary at the entrance to it .There was a concern that it was not a Rotary generated project. Other suggestions included a Braille map of Lake Pertobe, a bust of Fletcher Jones or a planting project. A decision will be made at their next meeting.

Australia Day Celebration This year it will be held on the Civic Green with restricted attendance, from 10.30 – 12. (9am set up) A roster went around and there will be two shifts operating. There will need to be a working bee at the containers to tidy up the trailer. Sunday @ 9am.

Care Project  there will be a review of this at the end of the school holidays. The demand is not there at the moment but my increase as government funding to job seeker is reduced. We will get Louise Serra to come and speak to the club about homelessness in Warrnambool.

Meals On Wheels They will contact us in February to let us know when they want us to start back.

Lookout Project. We have money committed and put aside for this but as the project is on hold at the moment we can release some of these funds to support other projects in the meantime.

LAUGHTER, THE BEST MEDICINE

THE ASSASSIN
The FBI had an open position for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were completed, they had narrowed the field down to 3 possible agents. For the final test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. 'We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances.'

Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair... we need you to kill her' The man said, 'You can't be serious. I could never shoot my wife.' The agent said, 'Then you're not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home.'

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, 'I tried, but I can't kill my wife.' The agent said, 'You don't have what it takes. Take your wife home.'

Finally, the last man was given the same instructions, to kill his wife. He took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the man, wiping the sweat from his brow. 'Some idiot loaded the gun with blanks' he said. 'I had to strangle that cow to death'.

LONG PAINFUL DEATH
A wife got so mad at her husband she packed his bags and told him to get out.

As he walked to the door she yelled, "I hope you die a long, slow, painful death.

"He turned around and said, "So, you want me to stay?"

ROLE REVERSAL
A visitor, returning to Kuwait for the first time since the Gulf War, was impressed by a sociological change.
On previous visits she noted that women customarily walked about 5 paces behind their husbands.
She observed that the men now walked over 20 paces BEHIND their wives!
She approached one of the women for an explanation: "What enabled women here to achieve this marvellous reversal of roles?"
"Land mines," replied the Kuwaiti woman.
