This week we welcomed 20 members of Daybreak to our weekly meeting.

Guest Speaker – Matt Baker
Clinical Hypnotherapist, results coach and relationship counsellor.
Began his further education at Monash, studying science but left to follow his passion and with friends, started a theatre company, performing 6 productions of their own writing, in 2 years.
This was followed by a stint working in his father’s computer company.
He then went on to further study and graduated with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and followed it with a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy – and started his own practice.
He offers help to individuals, couples and employers by helping Human Resource Professionals and business owners improve workplace engagement, productivity and positivity
His program is called “Building a Rewarding relationship” through Self Development in 5 stages.
- Symbiosis or romantic stage where people concentrate on what is best for us rather than me.
- Differentiation where you manage anxiety over differences and there is a need for some alone time.
- Exploration when you move into a more independent state where one person may need more space and the other wants to know why the other is pushing away.
- Re-connection where there is a back and forth pattern of developing your position.
Synergy where there is dependance and interdependence. Each person is complete within themselves and not looking to the other person for fulfillment. You complement each other.

BBQ for Gillin Boys Foundation – Has been postponed to a future date, yet to be decided
Proposed Movie Night – just as a get together for members date to be decided
Thanks Sergio – Sergio donated a roller door for the container project. This will allow security for the space I between the two containers where our stuff is stored.
10/2/2021 MEETING
This week we welcomed 20 members of Daybreak to our weekly meeting.
President Peter, welcomed all members and there were no guests today.
There was no guest speaker today so the meeting consisted mainly of members announcements and fellowship.
There were quite a few cracks about Collingwood in the wake of Eddie’s resignation.
Brags – Barry Moran has a new grandson and was so excited that he fell off his bike!!
Bob’s daughter went back to work, the oldest grandchild started 3yo kinder and the
2yo went to day care. Very quiet day for Bob and Katie.
Soup Kitchen – is back operating on Monday nights. We are scheduled to be on duty in May and August.
Leave of Absence – Lydia has applied for a Leave of Absence for the remainder of the Rotary year.
Backyard Blitz – we have had a request to supply some assistance to a lady recovering from cancer. She needs a hand with some mowing and pruning of her garden. A roster will go around for people to offer assistance.
Clean Up Australia Day – our clean up day is scheduled for 14th March a list will go around next week.
Centenary of Rotary in Australia – Glenn gave a report on the meeting that he had with the other clubs. 3 out of 4 are keen to support the Lake Pertobe Playground development Project. We are looking at providing funding for the fire pit and surrounding stone seating. We can provide $4000 and will apply for a $1000 District Grant to top this up to $5000. This will enable the 3 clubs to provide $15,000 to go towards funding the fire pit and seating.
Signage – David Cassidy has kindly agreed to sign-write the new trailer for free, with the Rotary Logo and our Warrnambool skyline designed by Andrew. Thank you Cassign.
Murray to Moyne – They will be arriving here on 28th March and are looking for a couple of people to help set up banners, flags, signs etc. 7am start
Portland Fishing Trip – 12 and 13 February 2021. Be there or be square!!
Jan ran the member’s activity. She supplied bags of marshmallows and skewers to groups of 3 or 4 and the aim was to make the tallest tower. It was very sticky and there was lots of saggy bits.
Winners were team Watto, Chez and Barry, who had a distinct advantage from all the towers Watto has erected for Aussie Broadband.

Glenn’s guest speaker next week will be Louise Serra, to talk about homelessness in Warrnambool.
NEWS FLASH. Wednesday 17th February meeting cancelled due to COVID-19 Lockdown
