Hello all,
 
23 Members plus Ian Cairns from RC Warrnambool attended this week’s meeting.
Geoff Grec was our guest speaker, Geoff gave us an insight into working within the  education system in the USA and particularly in New York.
 
Glenn Rundell updated those present on the progress made towards providing shower and clothes washing facilities for the homeless at the Shipwreck Bay caravan park.
 
  • Committee met with the WCC Caravan Park Manager and viewed the facilities.
  • Facilities excellent for what we wish to provide – Good quality and clean. Showers/Toilets/Laundry with coin operated washing machines and dryers.
  • Available from now until mid-December and then again commencing first week of Feb 2019.
  • Coins used in machines will be refunded to club for re-use.
  • Adjacent shed available for club members to co-ordinate service – keep out of cold - with urn for making hot drinks.
Chris Preston had some fun during the fines session by showing a photograph of past club presidents from our ten-year and current anniversary celebration.
 
 
 
End trachoma
 
Last Rotary Year, in conjunction with SpecSavers Warrnambool, we supported the “EndTrachoma 2020” cause.  There have been recent updates to the program, including a partnership with “The Wateryard” to make supporting the program even easier. Drink, gift, raffle off, or host a wine tasting. You can order wines direct from Five Star Australian Vineyard, while eliminating trachoma from Australia at the same time.

Members Requesting Support:
 
The “Support My Project” state government funded program is in full swing.  There are many projects to support across the region.  Barry Brooker is involved in the Community Tennis Clubhouse restoration application.  Whilst Andrew Suggett is organizing the Highlight our
