- Chris:- at the Victorian Target Rifle State Championships Janey was awarded Top Female Veteran and was 3rd in the 20m Benchrest. Chris won the men’s 20m Benchrest State Championship.

Helen spoke on the topic of Scams and how to avoid being scammed.
Scamming is a huge industry, employing sophisticated methods of gaining one’s personal information. Target the lonely and the over 60’s in particular.
In 2020 it’s estimated that over $850m lost to scams. Romance and Investment Scams are two of the most prevelant ones.
Locally the most seen scams are Flubot, ATO (tax), Australian Post, NBN, Ransomware, Investment in Crypto, Phishing & Amazon
Top contact methods are 48% phone, 22% email, 15% text, 6%email
How to avoid being scammed: check email addresses, use good passwords and change regularly, use Paypal for on-line purchases, use Credit Card rather than
Debit Card, have $ limit on your Credit Card, use 2nd factor authorisation on your internet accounts & TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS
