  • “The Duke” movie for Polio booked for 24th March, Peter to update meeting
  •  Inductions next week of Peter, Jo-Ann & Jodie
  • Combined RC meeting for Ken Hutt: District donated $50k, Eats RC donated $2k & $400 raised from raffle
  • Strategic Plan: Jennie to update meeting
  • Care Program & Crisis Accommodation: Ian to update meeting
  • LongLunch: Sandra to update meeting
  • Portland celebrating 80 years
  • Another Back yard Blitz being planned
Members Announcements:
  • Peter:- still waiting to hear whether the Capitol Theatre are going to show the film. RC Central won't be involved. Committee meeting on this Thursday.
  • Ian: Care Program to be accommodated in the Archie Graham Centre. WCC Tender for services for the Program closes in one or two weeks. Our Club to attend AG on Sundays for 2 to 3 hours & provide bbq.
    -  Crisis Accommodation: Salvation Army don’t consider marquees / tents appropriate. Nothing is likely to happen this year. Temporary accomodation not a long term answer. Prominent local identities invited to join Steering Committee. Three levels of need (1) temp accomm (2) 3-9 month accomm (3) provide affordable housing. Flat pack units being considered providing location can be found. Seeking $20K in grants.
  • Sandra:- Received $500 from Racing Club
    -  Inductions next week
  • Jennie:- Draft SP will be distributed to members. Proposing to report on implementation monthly.
  • Glenn:- Thanks for opportunity to join meeting via Zoom
    - Clean up Australia Day on this Sunday. Meet 10am at Victoria Park. 10 Clontarf boys will do Levy’s Point car park. Peter to do Induction. Volunteers: PS. Harpo, Janey, Chris, Fiona, Jennie, Serge & Ali
  • Serge:- Fishing Trip to Portland successful. Highlights:  one fish caught & Geoff showing skill on scooter. Propose going to Hall’s Gap net year
