- “The Duke” movie for Polio booked for 24th March, Peter to update meeting
- “Hybrid”meetings- East RC have the special IT gear
- Combined RC meeting on 24th February to hear Ken Hutt
- Zoom link with guest Jim Askew was successful
- Care Program & Crisis Accommodation, Ian to update meeting
- Eastern Marr, R100 project, Glenn to update meeting
Members Announcements:
- Peter:- still waiting to hear whether the Capital Theatre are going to show the film. RC Central wont be involved.
- Ian:- Bunnings BBQ made $1000 profit, thanks to those that helped
- Care Program. WCC have Tender for services for the Program
- Crisis Accommodation. No luck getting unused caravans. Positive meeting with Mayor, hoping WCC provide $10k for 5 marquees. Tents/Gazebos/ Marquees in old Stadium best option presently. Glenn has completed Risk Assessment contacted District Insurance Officer who confirmed that the Club will be covered.
Salvation Army will be responsible for security & safety at premises. Clients will be vetted by them. They have 100 people looking for accommodation. Families will get first preference. They will provide basic bedding and needs.
Looking for other location next year, possibly a vacant school building or cabins at Surfside Caravan Park in off-season. - Sandra:- Meeting preferences/vote to be emailed to members
- Club Assembly next week, suggest cafes. Directors to organise.
