BUGSY’S BANTER 1st SEPTEMBER 2021
Newsletters
This week there were more newsletters sent out due to the fact that we wanted to spend more time on our Strategic Plan and wrap it up as soon as we could.
Condolences
Liza and Wayne’s close friend passed away this week. We pass on our condolences to both Liza, Wayne and the Wills family.
Hybrid Meeting
Sergio and Liza attended the District 9780 conference on Hybrid Meetings and will report back later.
DG Visit
It is proposed that District Governor John Clue visit us on the 8th September. With Covid restrictions, I have invited John to meet with us on zoom on the 8th or a date that would suit both parties. Discussions would be focused on our Club Health Check, also John would like to talk with the Board.
Father of the Year
The Rotary Club of Warrnambool held its annual Father of the Year award albeit on virtual tv. The presentation was held on Wednesday 1st September commencing at 7:00pm. I logged into the Facebook page and witnessed the awards which was an outstanding success with over 1200 entries.
Congratulations to all participants and those children that won their categories. A big congratulations to Coast FM, Fitz Media, the Rotary Club of Warrnambool and Ian Cairns for a great presentation.
Strategic Plan
I have had some real positive feedback on Jenni’s presentation of our Strategic Plan.
