Update on Daybreak Zoom meeting held on

Sergeant At Arms Barry, recovering from shingles, took a bit to get onto the meeting. Better late than never! He is expecting a fine!

Reports from Members
- President Peter spoke about the current restrictions and that he is looking forward to returning to our face to face meetings.
- Ian Harper and Geoff Grec organized the books, collected last year, to be packed and taken to the Sunday Market stallholder. She will sell them and our Club will receive the money.
- DG Visit - We have been contacted by District that the current DG Phil Beasley will be available to attend a Zoom meeting in August. Chez will check which dates we can expect this to occur. The DG will resume club visits in 2021.
- Sandra – Contacted the WCC regards the summer time activities that they have planned. Sandra has suggested that we could organize a Drive Inn movie night. Sandra will follow up to ascertain what we can undertake at this time.
Almoner Report – Cheryl
- Spoke to Barry Brooker, he has indicated that he will not continue his membership at this time. The board will discuss an Honorary Membership for Barry. His service to Daybreak has been exemplary. He can then attend meetings whenever he likes.
Barry has shingles now and promises that he has not been in contact with Barry Moran. I will contact him again to see how he is going.
Barry has indicated that he will continue to support the BackPack4VicKids and would like to attend when we give our Community Service Award to Peter and Jennifer King.
- Drew Giblin. Spoke to Drew and he has been busy with work. Appreciated the contact. Said he has Zoom meetings during the day and when he is home wants to spend time with family.
- Mehul Patel. Mehul has been very busy with work and family.
- Leni Brockmuller. Leni has been busy too! She also reported that Lydia is fine.
- I messaged Andrew Nield and will check in to see how he is going with work and family.
- I asked the above members if they were happy receiving Club emails at this time. They all appreciated that! Indicating they feel connected and informed even if they cannot attend Zoom meetings at this time.
Communication
- Glenn followed up on the Admin Committee request regarding how the Club members preferred to receive information coming in to the Secretary and President.
After some discussions it was decided that the Secretary keep distributing relevant emails to all club members.
- Chez reported that Catherine Eagleson, District Chair for the Australian Rotary Health has found some more beanies that have been knitted by the Lift the Lid, Mental Health Support Group, and has sent them to be distributed to the BackPack4VicKids project.
The meeting decided that these should be delivered to Peter & Jennifer King as soon as possible! Weather cold and these will be useful now.
Cheryl will collect these and deliver in the next couple of days.
Catherine has agreed to be a guest speaker on Zoom and I will contact her with some possible dates.
- Sergio has been fishing and caught some really nice fish.
- Steve has had a parking fine dispute with the council parking inspectors, and won! It was good to see Steve on Zoom again.

Barry Moran, Glenn, Dianne and Gerard – Late to meeting. Ian Watson couldn’t work out how to log onto the Admin Committee Zoom last Thursday evening due to being a bit wobbly.
General
- The Warrnambool City Council current situation was discussed at length.
All in all it was a good meeting, all things considered.
