Hello Daybreakers,

We had quite a muxed ip morning this Wednesday. Plenty of time for banter and general chit chat.

I presented Ian Watson with a Paul Harris Sapphire, which can replace his first PH recognition that he has temporarily misplaced, that’s ok ‘cos this one is prettier.

In the absence of a guest speaker, we watched an End Polio Now video that was filmed in Pakistan in May this year. It showed how easy it was to have missed immunising children in the past, and the amazing work that is being done to catch as many travelling families and their children as possible- and the movement of population in that part of the world on a daily basis is phenomenal.

Sunday we will be BBQing at the Parkinson’s Walk, thankyou to all who are helping out. Andrew is hoping for a bumper walk this year, so, if you can, please join the walk to help boost the numbers.

Please do your very best to sell movie tickets to, “Victoria and Abdul”. It should be a fantastic movie, and we are after as much Gates Foundation money as we can possibly get – 2 for 1 to contribute toward the EndPolio Now project.

Next week’s Guest Speaker will be Mick Riddle, from the Clontarf Academy, giving us and update on the program. The boys have been helping at the soup kitchen, and are always keen to help out within the local community. It will be good to find out how things are going with program, as it has been quite a while since Mick last came to talk to us.

Together we really are “making a difference”
