Hello Daybreakers,
A huge thank you to the Preston’s for once again hosting our Anzac Day meeting. There was a good turnout of early birds, most of whom attended the dawn service. Some also left early to head to the MCG to see the Bombers get flogged – go Pies !
Geoff spoke to us about his father’s WWII experience. He was in the Polish military, was captured, and spent 6 years in a work camp. Geoff had some of his father’s documents and shared the story of how and why this happened.
As you may remember, next week we will have Warrnambool Racing Club CEO Peter Downs coming to speak to us. We will also be joined by Matty Stewart. I hope you’ve all been training for the Horse Race, it would be great if a Daybreaker can win this year.
Next Week: Thursday 3rd May: Cooked @ Mid City combined club meeting $20.00
Bring a spare $5.00 – there will be an enticing raffle ! All for Aus Rotary Health.
Please send apologies through to Steve on 0457 926 657 by Midday on the Tuesday.
