We also heard from Julie Eagles about her involvement with the restoration of the Fletcher Jones Silver Ball, and the documentation of the FJ story. For those wanting to know more there is now a website fjstories.com.au Julie also spoke about the Community Garden where she is convenor. They now have chooks, with a secure enclosure, which has kept them safe from the local foxes for the last 18 months. We saw the overall plan for the area, and she discussed the up coming plan for the kitchen, which will mean it will be commercial grade. There recent fires were discussed, and it was agreed that we will be BBQ’ing at a Car Show organised as a fires fundraiser on Saturday the 7th April at Deakin Uni. As this is the weekend of conference, quite a few of us will be away, so please let Harpo know if you are able to help. The Rotaract Movie to raise funds for Can Teen is on next Wednesday night at 6pm. The movie is “A Wrinkle in Time” and stars Oprah Winfrey and Reece Witherspoon. It’s a Disney movie and looks like a bit of fun to me. Cheryl has tickets, so get onto that quickly or you’ll miss out.
