Hello Daybreakers,

Congratulations must go to our Long Lunch committee. The day was very successful, with attendees giving nothing but praise for the atmosphere, the food and the day in general. It certainly is a bonus to be able to raise a substantial amount of money and have an enjoyable day. The coverage we received in the Standard was also a terrific bonus. Well done everyone.

Our guest speakers today were Glenn Reddick, the Manager of City Amenities, and Scott Cavanagh the Director of City Infrastructure. The spoke to us about the new parking meters and gave some insight into the workings of the new system and the expectations around parking management. We were lucky enough to have a very lengthy question time and gain a much better understanding. I hope as many of you as possible will be able to use the “app”, and I noticed that there were no brochures left at the end of the day. Please ask if you would like assistance and we’ll get it organised.

Announcement time was busy today as we have commitments over the next three weekends. Bunning’s and Cleanup Australia Day, followed by the Dog Trials, then the third weekend will be the Callaghan’s/ Lookout BBQ.
