Hello Daybreakers,

Well didn’t this week’s guest speaker talk a load of rubbish. Kate McInnes is the Warrnambool City Councils Waste Officer and she told us about FOGO, (food organics & garden organics), and discussed minimising waste –actually very interesting.

We also had a brief talk from Mark Andrews, telling us about a possible tree project he is passionate about. I’m sure there will be plenty of discussion around this to see if it is a viable option for us to pursue.

Andrew has replaced Angela as the Administration Director. Her new role of Hostel Manager, at Lyndoch has involved travel, training and lot more of her time than she had anticipated. I’m sure it won’t take long before everything is organised and running smoothly for her, and she will be able to get a routine going that will allow her to join our meeting again. Hurry up Ang, we miss your happy smiling face !

Ian put his creative sticker on the Coast Guard Vessel in recognition of Daybreak’s ongoing support. Thankyou to the Coast Guard for the photos, and thankyou Ian for your time and effort.

Our guest speaker next week is Debbie Dumesny from SEAL. She’ll be telling us about a program that SEAL hope to run to help kids who have dropped out of school, can’t live at home and have slipped through the cracks of existing programs offered.

Hope to see you on Wednesday, “Making a Difference”

Cheers,
Jan
