Last week Leading Senior Constable John Keates spoke to us about his role advising people about online safety.
John spoke to us about his role advising the community about strategies to keep safe while online. John has spent a lot of time talking to young people, but next year he hopes to speak to a large number of parents and grandparents about these issues. John spoke about the importance of communication between adults and young people, and the need for young people to have balance in their life, respect for themselves and others, and an understanding of the risks online. John noted that people can post something on social media these days and it can prevent them from getting a job years later.
