Hey Terry

Hope you are all well this is a quick recap off my first 2 weeks in Finland!

I have met many people. landed in Helsinki with 2 other students and stayed the night then went to a camp in kaku and met all the other students then which whom have made great friends with and call my second family! We all ice sled and learnt about the sauna legacy! we also went into a sauna and it was relaxing but then we also went out into the snow to cool down and by that also jumping to a frozen lake. The next day I went to my first Swedish class with three other students who were also from Australia. That night we learnt about Finnish ways with food (smoked salmon) and wilderness. The next day we went to Tampere walked around trying to find a cake for a friends birthday who was coming up then we met the older students. We all went to church and did a small activity then we got back and jump into the sauna while this time the boys jumped into a sauna naked (boys sauna and their was a girl sauna) then we also jumped into a the lake again but this time also naked....... Then it was our last day at kaku camp I said good bye too all the friends I made. My host family came to pick me up and thats when I met them! Then it was a 3 hour drive back to Jakobstad. Then i went sight seening then went to school met lots off new people and thats about all I have done for this week.
