'The Lookut'
Western Region Alcohol and other Drug Centre (WRAD) plan to better meet clients’ needs by establishing a local residential rehabilitation centre. This residential alcohol and other drug centre will be called ‘The lookout’ and will provide a range of services for clients and their families in Warrnambool and the Great South Coast. Emmanuel College Senior Campus Ardlie Street on Thursday 21st June at 5.45 p.m. will be the venue for interested people to attend this community meeting.
Eisteddfod Roster (Dance Section)
Terry O’Neill followed up an email sent to all Rotarians of the Club; we have been asked to assist in monitoring the doors at the Lighthouse Theatre from 9 -13 July (33 sessions) morning 8.30-1pm and afternoon 12.30-6pm. Requested we arrive 30 minutes prior to session for a briefing and present individual WWCC. If you can volunteer, please see me after tonight’s meeting. A new roster will be sent out this week and all are encouraged to help out if you can.
Ron Bishop 90th Birthday tomorrow (20 June) Keith McLeod visited Ron in room 28 at the Base Hospital. It is now 5 weeks since Ron was hospitalised, he is in good spirits. It is Ron’s birthday Wednesday and a birthday card was send around for all at the meeting to write a mesage. Ron appreciates keeping up to date with all that is going on and welcomes visitors.
Domenico Bennardo will be here tomorrow and will call in to see me with his family. Many years ago, he was an exchange student, still remembers us and has taken the time to call back and visit.
Camp Quality Thanks
A letter of thanks was received from the Cannon family who stayed at one of our Rotary Cabins – Camp Quality, many thanks extended from their family for a wonderful weekend.

Sharon took some famous ‘Betty Nisbet’ melting moments biscuits to Iris as she was unable to attend the Dinner Auction this year and get some for herself.
Dinner Auction
Michael Boyd informed the meeting ‘thank you notes’ will be available next week to be delivered for all the generous businesses, thanking them for their support.
Copies of the budget were on tables tonight, any thoughts? … look forward to suggestions.
Changeover next week - $30 dinner fee, the meal will be a little more substantial. It is a partner’s night so please let Sharon know if you are attending with your partner.
OUR ROTARY FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTIONS
Time is running out for clubs and Rotarians to contribute to Our Rotary Foundation for this 1718 year. Last year we had a great response with nearly every club and nearly one in two Rotarians directly contributing to our Rotary Foundation. So far this year, we are behind in contributions to support our Rotary Programs; Polio eradication, etc and remember 50% of annual fund contributions fund our district programs as DDF. We need your contributions in my hands by 21st of June at latest to accrue them in this club year, so please allow for postage time which unless send express post, normal mail will take days. Forms are available from district web site.
