2.    Warrnambool Rotary’s Xmas BBQ next Tuesday, 18 December @ Lake Pertobe.  Members are rinsed to bring along their Kris Kringle’s for each person coming,  to a value of $10-15, and clearly marked M, F or ?. Also remember it is a BYO everything, and don’t show up at WFC.

3.    Introduction again of our Rotary Exchange students, Lea Constantine and Janick Palm.  As well our outgoing exchange student Louise Forbes.

5.   Next meeting will be on January 8th

6.   Alan Bowes and President Michael will represent club at Lighthouse Theatre, (WCC)

Induction of new member:

Mal Price introduced Chris Stebbing, to be inducted into our club.  Briefly, Chris has moved from Launching Place to Koroit.  He has worked mainly in the IT industry in both Private enterprise and in Education.  He is currently semi-retired, working still in the software writing industry.  Chris will be a most valued member of our club. (For the uninitiated ‘software’ doesn’t mean cuddly toys.)

Mal pinned his badge on, and Michael passed on some well deserved comments.  Well done Chris!

Members Announcements:

1.    Andrea Sampson:  Food share needs our support over the summer break.  The quilt show in January is on, and the roster has been distributed.

2.    Trevor Williams: Emergency Services Capability Forum BBQ next Saturday at Lake Pertobe, (in front of Simon’s Restaurant.). Roster was discussed with a great response from all members.

3.    Terry O’Neill: Rotary Clubs Car Raffle roster has been distributed, and completed at meeting, again with a great response from members.  Some will be filled after the first meeting in New Year.

Robbie’s Swindle taken out by Mal Price picking up $5.

Outgoing Exchange student Monique Forbes was introduced by Lou Keogh.  Monique proceeded to give her presentation on Australia, to be duplicated over and over again once in France.  She was presented with all the Rotary paraphernalia normally given to our students.

Closing Remarks:

Michael read out a letter from the Gillian family thanking the club for its assistance re Muscular Dystrophy.

No meeting Dec 25 nor Jan 1, with next meeting 8 January 2019

don’t forget Xmas Breakup at Lake Pertobe, 6pm BYO Food, Drinks, Chairs.

Thought for Week: if you were under house arrest and you lived in a mobile home, wouldn’t you be able to go anywhere you want.

Merry Xmas to all.
