PORT FAIRY FOLKIE WEEKEND - 11th -13th March.
Those Rotarians interested in participating in the opportunity to qualify for a Folkie ticket by completing 2 x 5 hour shifts as an usher at the event should contact David Brown 0438 647 536 or david@swcredit.com.au.
There are now only eight (8) opportunities available the majority being late shifts when the best acts are performing.
Friends of Rotary as always are welcome to participate.
This is a great fund raiser for the Club and good fun for those that participate.
COFFEE MORNING
Robbie reminded all that Coffee morning is this Saturday at Proudfoots, commencing 10.30am. Everyone is welcome to join in.

Please keep Sunday 2nd of April free for a FASHION PARADE at Warrnambool Bowls Club, arrive 1.30pm for a 2 pm start (TBC). Tickets $20 which includes a glass of bubbles, nibblies, lovely entrance prizes & a raffle. Fashions by Daisy Boutique with an emphasis on race week fashions
9800 DISTRICT CONFERENCE - 16-18th March 2018
This is a large event with over 600 delegates coming. Peter Frueh and his wife Anne will be joining us next week to speak about their plans for the conference.
ROTARY PEACE CONCERT - Thursday 9th March 2017
Don't forget to ask your family and friends and bring your money next week for Peace Concert tickets. Cost, if purchased through the club, is $30 per person. Karina still has a lot of tickets to sell and would be very grateful of your purchase. All funds raised go to Rotary Foundation Peace Scholars.

The Rotary Foundation offers scholarships for college graduates and professionals to study peace and conflict resolution or water and sanitation.
Rotary peace fellowships are available to candidates who will participate in a master’s degree or certificate program at one of our six partner universities.
Foundation water scholarships are available to candidates who have already been admitted to one of UNESCO-IHE’s eligible 18-month Master of science degree programs.
Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops leaders who become catalysts for peace and conflict prevention and resolution. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.
In just over a decade, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,000 fellows for careers in peacebuilding. Many of them are serving as leaders at international organizations or have started their own foundations.

Ian Cairns delighted in his fines session this evening targeting Relay For Life helpers, including:
- Trevor for continualy burning the hamburgers
- John Hunt for his expert bacon/egg cooking
- Brian for great job of getting rid of fat from sausages
- Tony for not being there & leaving Judy in charge
- Judy- ‘IN CHARGE’ being key words
- Jules for really enjoying the social side of the evening
- Terry-did he do any walking?
- John Nesbitt-who was looking out for him while he was looking out for Alan
- Karina-great job with husband Peter helping
- John Beks for his such great organisational skills
- Racheal who had a special coke zero cans put aside which no one was allowed to touch & a no-show on Friday night.
Andrea was also fined for being on a table full of females only, and Gerry, Janet & Jane just because you haven’t been fined recently!!!!
SWINDLE
Robbie invited Laura to pick the lucky ticket, being 73, for which Tony collected the grand sum of $9.
