Rotary Bulletin Report – Tuesday July 2nd. Visit to 3YB/Coast FM 18 Members availed themselves of the opportunity to have a work place visit to 3YB/Coast FM in Timor Street this week. Sergeant Ian Cairns welcomed everyone and introduced our hosts for this evening, Peter Headen who has been with the ACE Radio team for 22 years; owner Rowly Paterson and CEO Mark Taylor. 3YB/Coast FM have been avid supporters of our Rotary Club especially in relation to Father of the Year and our annual Dinner Auction. Peter acknowledged the work of our Club and the contribution we make to the community and is looking forward to continuing their association with us to contribute further to Warrnambool and surrounding districts. ACE Radio have 17 Radio Stations and a Weekly Advertiser out of Horsham. They have 200 employees and their holdings continue to grow. We had a tour of the Timor Street facility and were fortunate to be able to be in a broadcasting room and see how things are run. Ian expertly did a ‘mock’ add – and did a very good job of it. The new facilities have state of the art broadcasting technology and those working with the technology need to be very adept in its use. Following the tour some members continued on to share a meal together at the Bowls Club. Members Announcements Robbie – The Kryal Castle activity has been postponed to 2020 to give us more time to organise the event. More details down the track. Glenn – Announced he has just become a grandfather to a beautiful little girl Charlotte Lillian Bleakley.
