NOTICES
Community donation
Terry O’Neill asked the audience to recall speakers Suzan Moray and Tom Kelly funding raising for a state-of-the-art Prostate Cancer Detector.  At Board last week, we approved a $6,000 goal for their weekly fundraising of $6,000.  Congratulations to all members who contribute to make donations of this type possible, which in turn benefits all our community.

Fashion Parade
Anne Adams has raffle books and entry tickets for the Fashion Parade to be held on April 8th.  Please pick tickets up from me.  Thank you for gifts to contribute to prizes on the day.

Wangoom White Elephant Trash & Treasure; considering the fires and those out assisting to fight the outbreaks, we had a good day.  However, we will have a garage sale next Saturday at the Wangoom Hall.  Please come and support, and perhaps pick a bargain.

BBQ’s Weekend of 7 & 8 April
Tony Austin – Bunnings BBQ Saturday, Fashion Parade and CFA BBQ on both 7th & 8th April, please indicate if you are available, desperate for assistance!  There is an opportunity to raise a considerable amount of money, we are looking for assistance from friends and neighbours, anyone.

A Wrinkle in Time Movie
Louise Keogh spoke on behalf of Toni & Ben (Exchange Students), A Wrinkle in Time is the fundraiser for Youth Exchange in the district and all four Rotary Clubs are supporting this event.  Tickets available $20, Wednesday 28th March at 6pm.

Food Share
Andrea Sampson – thank you everyone for your Food Share donations, with the fires there will be even more demand on resources.

Morning Coffee
Robbie Blackmore reminded everyone there is a coffee morning this Saturday at Darriwill Farm 10:30, a few names on the list, please indicate if you are available.  Parking in back carpark, then go through the back door of Darriwill into the shop.

Rotary Jackets
Delia Jenkins explained we have had good fortune with our jackets order, due to the logo printed incorrectly we now have four donated sleeveless jackets in various sizes ~ $40.  See Delia after the meeting all those who are interested.

Fines
John Hunt hosted the fines session; focusing on those in the audience who barrack for Richmond, cricket tragics and anyone who unfortunately lost branches in last Saturday nights wind.  Fine for the whole audience for anyone not attending the Mount Gambier Conference.

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) 8-13 April 2018
Rachel Furnell introduced – Riahna Byron of South Coast Dance School, also working locally at the ‘Cally’ participating this year at RYLA and Tiahna Williams.  Tiahna heard about the award via her sister Jessie McConnell a former Rotaract and a former participant of RYLA.

Father of the Year
Louise, Rachel & Gerry indicated they would be involved to assist in this year’s award.

Monique Jones spoke of journey in achieving the Warrnambool Female Winner.  Attending Brauer College, Year 12 this year, I always try my best at all things I do.  Love doing extracurricular activities.  Participated in Young Endeavour, crewing from Mackay to Brisbane in Queensland.  Made a dress and modelled for the APEX final, went to WA and modelled my garment in the show.  Met lots of new people.  A huge thank you for sponsoring my award which means so much to me and young people of Warrnambool.

Jace Nepean gave an overview of growing up in Warrnambool and how he has arrived at this point, the Male Warrnambool Youth Achiever from Emmanuel College.  I love school and enjoy outdoor sports; Warrnambool Surf Lifesaving Club, Warrnambool Wolves Soccer Club and Warrnambool Kayak Club plus Karate (competing in Germany in 2014, black belt).  I have represented my Clubs in competitions.  Surf Lifesaving involves additonal hours in a voluntary capacity patrolling the beach.  Ben Johnson and Steve Curtis are my role models.  Thank you Rotary for supporting me.
