President Michael informed the members that the Board has argeed to use 200, 000from the combine Rotary House funds to help purchase the block of land next to the currant Rotary house.

A golfing team is needed from our club for the Port Fairy Golf Day on Tuesday 26 April . 4 players for Ambrose completion 1 good golfer & 3 high handicappers.

Rotary Friendship Exchange Trip to Canada District 5550 on the 15 August. Sharon has forms if you are interested in going. Forms need to be in by 12 April. And if anyone one can bring along some donations as prizes that would be appreciated.

Andrea is making bags for her stall @ the Dinner Auction. If anyone has spare bags they don’t need any more please help by passing them on to her. And any items that are not needed at home anymore will be well received for her stall as well ……thank you.
Andrea will be away over the next few months and Judy has kindly stepped in to be the collector for Food Share ……. Lets keep up with this great community project .

Days for Girls –PNG Project Update : 54 packs are complete, the 46 are not far off. Thank you to those who came along to the Alan Lane pavillion Monday to pack the items. Rachel introduced our 2 RYLA participants Courtney Morgan & Harry Price. Courtney works @Swintons IGA and is looking forward to going to RYLA, which she found out through friends and thanks Rotary for this opportunity.
4 Youth Achiever Awardees
Harry Price-Warrnambool City Overall Male Winner.
Harry is also our upcoming RYLA participant. Harry was nominated in 3 categories-Sport, Arts/Culture & Community/Leadership, he won in the Arts/Culture section. Harry spoke about his Cricket, Public Speaking & School musical production achievements. He also spoke about his failures and how he found that when that happened the best way to deal with that was to get back up and keep going! Harry thanked our Rotary club for recognising this city’s youths achievements.
Monique Jones-Warrnambool City Overall Female Winner
Monique managed to fit quiet a lot into 2018.Some of these were ; public speaking, debating, surfing & patrolling the beach during summer, CFA volunteering. She has taken a gap year from her uni course at Latrobe doing Para medicine, and is doing a traineeship @ Brauer College. Monique will be playing a game of women’s football on 23 June… so come along! Monique thanked the Rotary club for their ongoing support of the youth achievers awards.
Emily Bartlett-Moyne Shire Overall Female Winner
Emily thanked the Rotary club for sponsoring the Youth Achiever Awards. Emily’s focus is on swimming –Team Victoria, which led to the State & National finals. She also entered in the Lions youth of the year and got to the Regional Finals.
Alex Tamer- Moyne Shire Overall Male Winner
Alex also had a very busy 2018. He was in year 7 @ Emmanuel College. He has had a competitive year in debating against his older sister in competitions, she won. Participated in chess tournaments, placed 14th in the Nationals. Participated in the Rostrum’s Voice of Youth, in completion with his sister – she won. Entered many competitions in maths, science & history and received distinctions & credits.He enjoys competitions. Alex thanked Rotary for their support of Youth in our community.

Thanked our speakers for the night and wished them well for their future, and by listening to their marvellous achievements our future is safe in their hands.
