This weekend celebrated the last weekend for all of the outbound and inbound youth exchange students together until the leave/return.

Happy 25th Birthday Science and Engineering Challenge!
This year celebrates 25 yeas of the Science and Engineering Challenge. Rotarian Brooke recently visited Newcastle to attend birthday celebrations for the program and view the National Final for 2025.
Since 2006, more than 450,000 students have participated in the program.
In 2025, more than 25,000 students participated nationally. Of this total, 49% were female, 55% were from a regional or rural area, 39% are from a low socio-economic background and 5% were first nations.
The University of Newcastle has just released this new video highlighting the history of the program. You will see Rotarian Rachel and Brooke within it!

The Great South Coast Science and Engineering Challenge is set to run on the 10th-11th August in 2026.
Reminder! We are collecting 10c bottles for our projects. This is a really easy way of earning 100% profit for out club. You can utilise the app, or Brooke has business cards with the barcode on it. All you need to do is scan the barcode at the machine, then put the bottles in.
Alternatively, you can put your bottles in the bucket at each Rotary meeting, or drop them to Brooke and George's house on Kelp St.
