Guest Speaker
Jessie McConnell spoke about her amazing experience with RYLA. She shared how her time at the 6 day camp at Kangaroobie changed her life. She learnt a lot about goal setting, motivation, values and personal development and encouraged us all to recommend and nominate young people between the ages of 18-25 to take part in the program.  The next RYLA is 13 – 18 April, 2019 and nominations close in December this year.
See Rachel Furnell if you need any more information or have a young person that you would like to nominate.

A MEMBERSHIP MOMENT
GIVE NEW MEMBERS SOMETHING NEW WHEN THEY JOIN:

The new Rotary Basics offers an overview of all things Rotary. It includes information for all Rotarians, especially new members who are interested in our history and values, plus a Rotary glossary.

If you need ideas for getting new Rotarians involved and giving them a meaningful experience, look to Introducing New Members to Rotary: An Orientation Guide. The revised Connect for Good guide suggests ways members can get involved in Rotary to make an impact in their community and globally.
These references can be found by going to www.rotary.org
