Weekly wrap up with President Peter!

With Peter away, we were led by Ann Adams who stepped up lead the way.

This was a special meeting to farewell our ex-change students: Maria will be heading home after spending 12 months in Australia, while our local student, Rex will be taking off to Denmark for the next twelve months in the coming weeks.

Ann wished them all the very best on their journeys.

Maria thanked everyone for the wonderful opportunity to visit Australia and ensured us she will return again when she is able to save some money. One of the highlights for her was the Safari visit to Western Australia and meeting all the other ex-change students from around the world many which she will stay in contract with. She also reported training with the local Life Saving club to achieve her Life Saving Certificate. George presented Maria with a gift of a black opal necklace as a memento of her time here.

Glen: reported that East Warrnambool are looking for volunteers to help man the Hole in One competition. Please let Glan know if you are able to assist. Our club will be paid for member's time provided.

Glen also acknowledged Ken splendid support of the Foundation and displayed the rewards he received. Congratulations Ken.

Debbie: Informed the club our Book sales will be held over the coming three weekends. We have been granted permission to hold the sales in the Alan Lane Pavilion. While it is a much smaller venue, we will hold it over a number of weekends which will lighten the load of moving boxes of books.

We will be looking for members to man the sales each weekend.

Ann informed us of her exciting trip in the coming week. She will be taking her youngest granddaughter to Sydney where they will attend 'Madama Butterfly' at the Sydney Opera House. That's one lucky girl

Reminder! We are collecting 10c bottles for our projects. This is a really easy way of earning 100% profit for out club. You can utilise the app, or Brooke has business cards with the barcode on it. All you need to do is scan the barcode at the machine, then put the bottles in.

Alternatively, you can put your bottles in the bucket at each Rotary meeting, or drop them to Brooke and George's house on Kelp St.
