Deb announced that there will be a book sale on the 6th June. It’s possible that we will have to set up quite early on Saturday morning due to the “ Royal Antedeluvian Order of Buffaloes” using the hall on the Friday.
Rachel introduced our RYLA participant, Nakaya Frankland, who shared her experiences at the recent RYLA camp at Kangaroobie, Princetown. Nakaya described the program as challenging, rewarding, enjoyable and ultimately life-changing. The program activities were designed to develop confidence and leadership skills.
The 22 participants arrived as strangers but quickly formed strong friendships and camaraderie through the many activities and challenges they experienced together.
Having attended the Awards Night Dinner, I was delighted to see Nakaya playing a prominent role in the proceedings. We were also impressed by her excellent singing voice. Thank you Kayla for encouraging Nakaya to attend.
Congratulations, Nakaya. The Club is proud of your participation and achievement, and we wish you every success in your future personal and professional endeavours.

Uniting for Good:
The Rotary Overseas Recycled Playgrounds (RORP) program started in Melbourne in 2019 and expanded into South Australia in 2022. As the program’s impact grew it became a perfect program to transition to a ‘Growth Plan Project’, something each Rotary Community Group undertakes to increase Rotary’s impact.
