Rotary Auction Appreciation
Michael Boyd thanked all the members and donors for their help and support of our Dinner Auction . $30.000 was raised which is an amazing effort .
Richard and Helen Ridgewell from Tasty Plate are the Beneficiaries from our Dinner Auction. President Trevor made the presentation of a cheque to the value of $ 5.000 to support their mobile kitchen trailer.
Helen expressed their appreciation for this donation and reported that the trailer is nearly ready and they have booked 4 Weddings already. This provides more opportunities for work and training for the disabled.
One of their current trainees has obtained a part time job in open employment which is a great accomplishment.
Tasty plate has also purchased the old Lynches shop which they will move into in March or April next year. This site they will enable them to offer more training placements for people with disabilities. Currently their is a waiting list for participants.
