President John Hunt welcomed members and guests; Frank Monger - Visiting Rotarian from Mt.Gambier, Members' Guests Barbara Johnson, Ann Donaldson and Delia Jenkins.

 

Andrea Sampson reported that the Rotaract Trivia night will require the assistance of our members and asked for volunteers.

 

 

Louise reported that Carly, our Exchange student in Austria had been on a camp but unfortunately had broken her wrist. Carly was disappointed that as a result she was not able to continue at camp and had to return home to her billet.

 

Louise also announced that Warrnambool Central will send a student to the  Rypen program.

 

An information night about Rotary Youth Exchange will be held on Monday evening next, hosted by the Warrnambool clubs.

 

Julie Trelfell-Ryan reported that Exchange student Mathilde raised $480 for Autism Awareness from the  sale of food and a raffle. The winners of the raffle were Max Taylor (1^st prize), Steve Bellamy (2^nd prize) and Mal Price (3^rd prize).

 

Mal Price thanked those who assisted at the BBQ at Food Share last Tuesday, especially Tony Austin who did the cooking.

 

President Elect Trevor Williams reported that the club requires one more Board member for the next Rotary year for the membership portfolio. Any volunteers for nomination please contact Trevor.

 

SAA Judy Ross reported that the DG appreciated the invitation to Ron Rauert’s 60^th anniversary and our $2000 Project donation. Also thanks from Paul Lougheed of Southern Way direct care for the Peace concert tickets.

 

Anne Adams mentioned the coming Fashion Parade on Sunday, 2^nd April at Warrnambools Bowls Club to help Tasty Plate buy a trailer. A raffle is also being run @ $2 ticket for a quilt and other donated prizes. 

 

Brian Trenery reported on a project to renovate the Koroit grave of a former Premier Jack Murray. For more information on former Premier Jack Murray please see below.

 

A reminder of the free vehicle check on the 6^th April at Bunnings. This is being advertised widely on Facebook and on TV. Child Restraint checks are also included this year. We are expecting a large turn-out for this event so please mark the date in your diary and make yourself available to assist if at all possible.
