Fathers in a Changing World

The nature of fathering is undergoing massive change, as one in four families experience separation and divorce. Ian Cairns and Gordon Curran will tackle the topic, focusing on the many differing forms of fathering in 2015. Particular attention will be given to traditional family structures including the new role of fathers in child rearing, separated and divorced parents including shared access, step parenting, de facto partnering, foster fathering and the growing role of grandfathers taking on parenting again. Brief mention will also be made of same sex parenting.
