Greetings Members,

I hope everyone is as well as can be in these challenging times.

Our daily routines have been disrupted on a scale most of us have not experienced in our lifetimes.

Whether it be the isolation or the impact on businesses and livelihoods for most of us the world as we knew it has changed very quickly.

I know that almost all of us will be significantly impacted by COVID-19 in one way or another either personally or through family and friends.

We are observing the best and worst of human behaviours in the community however I am sure the best will shine through and we will look back and smile about the toilet rolls.

At our Club level decisions to cancel or postpone our weekly meetings and major activities including the following:
  • Dinner Auction
  • Fashion Parade
  • Ted King Park working bee
  • RYLA
Whilst at the time of making the above decisions there were concerns, in hindsight the Board made sound decisions.

Our Exchange Student, Joey, departed in haste to return to the safety of his family. A big thankyou to all the host families and to Steve and Louise who made it all happen.

Over the next week our Club will be increasing Club communications with the weekly Bulletin some structured networking using whatever channel suits individual members best including phone/Zoom/FaceTime/Face Book etc. More will follow on this.

The Board will be getting back to business this week using Zoom technology.

Whilst the normal way of operating our Club will not be possible for some time that does not mean we stop looking after our Members and supporting our communities any way we can.

Some good news in that PP Michael & Sharon were allowed to join family in Broome.

Please put forward any thoughts you may have to me by phone 0438 647 536 or email david @ swcredit.com.au

Look after yourselves and keep safe so that you can help those around you.

Yours in Rotary,
