Rotarian Anne Adams indicated that Woolsthorpe (or was it Wangoom) dairy farmers were branching out into harvesting wombat’s milk, in order to produce a special cheese for sale once each year, on April 1. Rotarian Ian Cairns is an authority on the life-style of the wombat, and commented that, having tried it over an extended period, he quite recommends it.

In-coming President Marie Bennett encouraged Dinner Auction item collectors to get busy. Letters have been distributed to local businesses who will be expecting a caller from Rotary.

Rotarian Andrea Sampson is welcoming donations of wine for the "Instant Cellar" which will be auctioned at the Dinner Auction, as well as gifts suitable for her $5 auction table. Robert Cuzens seeks donations towards the wheelbarrow raffle.

To be held on April 12 and will include singers, exhibitions and more. Volunteers are needed to assist with parking. Please contact Anne if you can assist.

Richard Hawker asks that all Centurions (those who have voluntarily agreed to donate $100 annually) make their contribution for this year to Rotary’s own charity, the Rotary Foundation, and suggested that other members might like to consider starting to contribute to Rotary Foundation which assists in so many great projects.

Rotarian John Nisbet had a visit from Fay Armstrong, who seeks volunteer walkers and sponsors for the Oxfam Walk from the Woollen Mills west along the new bike and walking path beside the Merri on Sunday April 13.

Robert Cuzens reminds Rotarians that the International Committee is seeking donations of computers, crockery and cutlery and school supplies until early April as part of a Rotary Donation in Kind Project.
