Public Relations
PR Director Terry O'Neill provided an update on PR activity that's been happening this year, including the very positive articles in the past few weeks from Jono Pech of the Warrnambool Standard. We've seen articles featuring Sariri Project champion Tony Austin, with a story on the very generous donation of a diesel tractor by our own, Rotarian Graeme Ross. There have also been articles on the Deakin award winner Jimmy Crawford and the Telstra Science and Engineering Super Challenge, held last week at Deakin University. All very positive articles for our club.
Having introduced himself as PR Director of the club to both Jono at the Standard and also Lindy Watson at Ace Radio, Terry advised all Directors, project coordinators and members that if they would like to promote an event or project, we certainly have the support of both the Standard through Jono and Ace Radio through Lindy. Just provide Terry with the event information and he will make sure that it is passed onto both Jono and Lindy.
Terry thanked Sharon Stark for producing "one of the best bulletins in the district" and also, along with Gordon Curran, for keeping our social media sites, facebook and club website current and vibrant.
The club has also been successful obtaining a District funded Club Strengthening Public Relations Grant of $1,000, which will go towards facebook boosting, pull up banners for display at club activities and sign writing of a club gazebo.

Trip to Japan April 2016
Remember to see Andrea Sampson if you are interested in joining a two week group trip to Japan during the April 2016 school holidays - she stressed this will be a trip for “grown ups”. This will be during the cherry blossom time and Andrea hopes to take in at least three cities and many tourist attractions.
