Film Night - Woman in Gold - Thursday 21 May 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start
John Harris reminded members of the upcoming fundraising film night on Thursday 21 May at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start. Woman in Gold tells the true story of a Jewish woman's search to reclaim what her family lost during the 2WW. Tickets are $20 and John had tickets with him for sale but they can also be purchased from any members of Inner Wheel. The film is a fundraiser for South West Healthcare..
DINNER AUCTION PROGRESS
Michael Boyd provided an update on the Dinner Auction. We've had a terrific response from the community with 250 businesses and individuals donating. There will be 100 main lots to the retail value of $28,000 and 100 Silent Auction Lots to the value of $9,000. There was a good response to the late afternoon text message to members reminding to bring wine for the wine cellar to be auctioned, as well as the wheelbarrow raffle. Michael also thanked the committee for all their hard work.
Set up is from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday morning at the Warrnambool Bowls Club and any members wishing to assist are welcome. We usually follow afterwards with lunch at the club.
VOTING FOR INVOCATION
Anne Adams advised that the vote was split 17/17 so the status quo remains.
A REMINDER TO CENTURIONS
On behalf of the Rotary Foundation:
A reminder to Centurions i.e. Rotarians who promised to give Aus $100 each year, if they can, until they have paid in $1000. (This is different from the US $100 contributions) In November, the Rotary Foundation month, some members paid, but if you have forgotten, this is a reminder that the 2014 -2015 year is nearing its end.
