Money Spinners

Michael Boyd reported that following 2 weeks at Gateway, $166 was collected and 4 weeks at Target $120.00.

Ray Henry

Ray advised that we wouldn't be seeing him for a few months as he was heading off to various destinations following the races and will be in Alice Springs in March. He thanked the club for being so welcoming and also including him in various BBQ's where he enjoyed fellowship with others, which makes these small funding events so worthwhile.

Rotary Foundation Movie Night fundraiser for "End Polio Now" - 13 March

Mary Fitzgerald advised that this film evening is to be held on Friday 13 March at 7pm at the Capitol Cinema in Kepler Street. Mary advised us that the film “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" actually opens on the 26 February and she asked Rotarians to hold off seeing it until the fund raiser night. Tickets are $20 (of which $11 goes to the END POLIO NOW program). The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel stars Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Richard Gere and many other well-known actors and is the sequel to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Both movies are based on the novel “These Beautiful Things” written by Deborah Moggach. Google “Marigold Hotel” and you can find out much more about both movies.
