Next Week's meeting will be at the Base Hospital
Please meet in the front foyer of the Hospital at 5 pm sharp. Barry Morphett will then take Rotarians on a tour of the teaching facilities at SWH. A delicious two course meal will be put on by the hospital for Rotarians attending the tour. Final numbers are needed by no later than 2pm Monday 17 November.

Rotary Foundation
Mary Fitzgerald informed Rotarians that November is Rotary Foundation Month. She encouraged club members to become Centurions during November. To be a Centurion a Rotarian needs to make a pledge to donate $100 per year to the Foundation. Mary thanked Anne Adams, Janet Blackley and Ian Sharman for providing added information about the history of the Foundation, its purpose and what its aims are. Mary advised that she will be appealing to Rotarians every week during November and hopes to have recruited additional Centurions by the end of November.
Exchange Students 2015/16
Steve Giddens asked Rotarians to take time over the Christmas break to think about the level of commitment our Club wishes to make towards having another exchange student during 2015/16. Steve is hoping the Rotary Clubs of Warrnambool will take several more overseas exchange students next year. He talked about how plans for Astrid and arrangements regarding host families has been done on the run and he hoped in the New Year Rotarians will put their hands up to host a student. Steve hopes that by planning in advance, the experience will be more organised for our next student. Steve advised that our region takes the highest number of International Exchange students in the whole of Australia.
In addition to this Steve is hoping to send 7 local Warrnambool kids to host families in New Zealand for three months. Reciprocal arrangements would then have the New Zealand host family's student come to Australia to be hosted by the family of the student who stayed with them in New Zealand.
Port Fairy Open Garden Sunday 16 November 10am to 4pm
Admission to 5 magnificent gardens $20. Light refreshments also available $5. All funds raised will be donated to Moyne Health Services for hospital projects. Gardens are:

Inner Wheel Ladies Garden Party
Tony Austin thanked those who supported this event, with a special thanks to Joan Austin for all her hard work. The Inner Wheel made over $5,000 from the garden party.
Open Gardens/Car Boot Sale - Sunday November 30 - 11am to 4pm
First garden: "Rosandaway" at 100 Rowans Road, just off Ocean Road before Nullawarre. Second garden: " Ashford Park". Entry to the two gardens is $10. Devonshire teas and refreshments will be on sale. All proceeds go to the Nirranda Cricket Club. For enquiries about the car boot sale, contact Alex on 0439 423 005.
