INTERPLAST:
ReSurge International, formerly known as Interplast, is the first international humanitarian organization to provide free reconstructive surgery in developing countries, primarily to children with cleft lip and palate and burn scar contractures.
Interplast sends teams of volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, Nurses and allied health professionals to provide life-changing surgery and medical training in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region.
Now, Interplast is looking for a Rotarian in the “Warrnambool” area to help create awareness and promote Rotary’s support for these teams. Not a big task, the role entails being a go between Rotary Clubs and the Interplast Committee, to co-ordinate messages to clubs, contact the committee when clubs want speakers and to help with the Interplast raffle which occurs every TWO years.
