INDUCTION - DALLAS ARMISTEAD

PP John Harris introduced Rotary inductee Dallas Armitstead.Dallas was born 40 years ago to Lorna and Stephen Armitstead. Dallas has been married to Kylie for 10 years and they have 3 children Paige 11, Alexis 8 and Rose 5. Dallas’ dad Stephen ran his own construction business which Dallas now runs with Kylie. The business name is DK Armistead Construction.

Dallas went to East Warrnambool Primary school then on to Brauer College, completed year 12, then did his apprenticeship in building and construction. He said it was a pretty good school especially after Duncan Stalker, Tony Austin and Ian Sadler straightened him out along the way. Dallas was a good footballer playing junior with Russell’s Creek and then in the Hampden League with South Warrnambool, before heading to Noosa in Queensland to play football up there for 4 years. On return to Warrnambool Dallas and Kylie set up their own business and Dallas also took on coaching for the Allansford Football Club. Dallas is also a very good cricketer and plays A grade for Purnim. He bats and bowls well (look out Michael Boyd).

Dallas does all Wannon Water’s maintenance work, along with some of Warrnambool City Council’s, as well as private work so is a very busy young man who does a fantastic job. Dallas and Kylie are about to construct their new home at Tower Hill.
