GUEST SPEAKER - MARIE BENNETT

President John Hunt interviewed Marie Bennett, President Elect for 2014-15.

Marie described her many interests, starting with managing a sheltered workshop producing paper and packaging, followed by a position with the Royal Agricultural Society conducting the Cattle section. Marie also arranged field days and workshops for farmers all over Victoria. She has learnt to speak Spanish and German, and organised medical conferences for large groups. Marie has been involved with the University of the Third Age, covering a variety of subjects. She was on a Federal Committee supervising grants for the Centenary of Federation. Marie taught English and managed an overseas mail order company amongst other things. Marie said she had a brother in Rotary and her grand-daughter had been an Exchange Student and this influenced her to join Rotary.

President John thanked Marie for her interesting interview and then closed the meeting.
