RWC is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring Ritu Akter from Bangladesh through the Salvation Army Child Sponsorship Program. Ritu is 7 years old and attends the Jessore School for the Hearing Impaired in Bangladesh. Ritu lives with her parents, brother and sister in a tiny home. Her father is a rickshaw puller and the family income is small and not reliable. Ritu is a quiet, polite and very bright girl who loves going to school. She was born healthy but developed hearing problems after a severe case of chicken pox. She attends the Salvation Army School for Hearing Impaired Children where she can learn skills that will help her compete in a hearing world. Ritu loves skipping games and her amibtion is to be a tailor. Our Club's sponsorship will assist with education, food and basic medical care.
