From discussion with board members it has been decided to shorten the time frames for selling raffle tickets at Woolies to 2 hour stints as of Friday, October 21st. Times will be 11 to 1, 1 to 3 and 3 to 5.
Hopefully this will encourage more members to participate. I’m also hoping that the last shift of the day will stay a bit longer on a Friday to catch the bulk of the traffic shopping on a Friday evening.
When selling tickets, PLEASE make sure you take the money first and then get the ticket butt filled out. So far the money tin has been short with cash compared to tickets filled out. I don’t want to have to continue topping it up each day with my own funds, so please be very careful.
Each club member will be issued with at least one book to sell to friends, family and work colleagues. You are most welcome to take more books. Just remember if you lose the book, you will be required to fill out a Stat Dec. but the bad news is we could have lost the winning ticket.
The purpose of this activity was that all members could participate in, there is no risk to the club, just funds to support our club projects.
