AN UPDATE FROM EXCHANGE STUDENT KARLA BRACKLOW
Karla spoke of her four and a half months in Australia and showed some great photos of her time with us: in Melbourne; out having fun and dining with her host families; and said how much she liked our Australian animals, wildlife and flora. Karla said she has settled into her life in Australia very well. She recently visited the Hofbrauhaus in Melbourne and was thrilled to know what everything on the menu was in German which she could quickly read (unlike looking at Australian menus) and she enjoyed being able to order her food in German. She showed us pictures of her attempts at making an apple strudel, with the last try turning out to be a success and was delicious. Karla and her friend Alice Keogh have been to Melbourne by train and participated in the Colour Run with more than 2000 other people. Karla presented as confident and happy and it appears she is enjoying her stay in Warrnambool.
