On a very windy Sunday between Lockdown 5 and Lockdown 6 in Victoria, the Rotary Clubs of Corio Bay and Geelong Central planted 100 trees at Beckley Park, Geelong, to commemorate 100 years of Rotary in Australia.
Friends and families helped out to plant lilly pillies, red bottlebrushes and banksia trees.

Seen here is Travis Beckley and his son, Max. Travis'  grandfather, Ray Beckley, whose name is bestowed on Beckley Park was a Member of Corio Bay Rotary.  Ray's son. Gary, is a current member of our Club.
End Polio
Rotary International - Polio vaccination

Historic Bonsecours Market in Old Montréal is illuminated with "En finir avel la polio" (End Polio Now).

Rotary, along with our partners, has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. We are close to eradicating polio, but we need your help. Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, here are some ways to make a global impact and protect children against polio forever.

Rotarians have helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. For as little as $0.60, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life.

SCHOOL PROJECT IN KALIBA VILLAGE – D.R.CONGO
An Update!  June 2019
We have just been notified that our Rotary Foundation Grant has been approved for desks and chairs for the Kaliba Primary School.  This grant was $3,000 of the $12,500 that is required.  The Rotary Clubs of Highton and Grovedale also contributed and our Club provided the balance.

In June 2018, some clubs of the District had contributed with the amount of 8,500 AUD to complete the school construction in Congo (Kaliba Primary School).
The amount collected from clubs (8,500 AUD ) was transferred into ROTARY CLUB OF CORIO bank account. The money was then transferred to them through a bank cheque into FAMILIES OF HOPE AUSTRALIA -FHA- bank account.
