Lachlan opened the meeting he invited President Lisa to the podium.

Lisa informed us on the vote of redistricting the Rotary zone and we voted yes for it.

 

She attended a domestic violence training session run by Lifeline a lot to absorb and quite tiring.

 

Attended a Williamstown football match it was great to watch.

 

Alan Ollis reported on the Peace Park Working Bee, Graham Wood, Noel Lunnie and Ray Bassett helped. There’s still a little bit more work to be done in the garden beds and Dave from the council has some trees to prune. Every president up to David Yelland has a name tag. Perhaps we should catch up and include the other Presidents.

 

Daryl Pobjoy went to the presidents meeting. There are 10 clubs in the district. They are all going through the same problems of attracting members, everyone was very positive. Barry Cooper had some good ideas on membership. Mainly focus on newly retired people. Don Shields could come as a guest speaker to talk on insurance and the president’s group talked of getting a list of guest speakers to share around the clubs.

Alan Hart reported on attending the funeral of Barbara Wallace who died at 92, Alan Ollis and Graham was also in attendance.

 

Gerard Sell spoke to the club via teams. Gerard demonstrated the spread sheet created by Zach and how when people apply online the sheet collects all unnecessary data.

Darrel and Zach are meeting tomorrow to ensure the data has been captured correctly.

In the golf section Ian Prendergast is looking after that and every golfer has a link number showing their handicap. Do they want a car or a buggy?

Then under the tours tab we’ve got four day bookings.

 

2008 golfing committee is from Bundaberg Sunrise Club they are coming down to see how it’s done. The shirt orders are Glen Muir shirts.

 

Kevin Stuart and Noel Lunnie are looking after the tours working with Dale McIntyre and finalising what people will do and making sure it runs smoothly.

Registration is David Yelland as a mix of golf and dinner registrations people come in from 2 to 5 and receive a welcome pack.

Craig Waters is to be the photographer. At the welcome barbecue photos at golfing holes, luncheon dinners pop-up piano bar and the photos will be cast to screens around the clubhouse.

The challenge left is putting the booklet together and hoping 13^th Beach will handle that.  The piano bar pop-up on Wednesday night will be ran by 13^th Beach.

Gerard spoke on all the roles that are required a fellowship role, welcome barbecue, daily golf lunches, make up a presentation dinner, running sheets and presentations on TV screens, flags and banners in the rooms and on the course at 13^th Beach, golfing course presentation, golf rules interpreter, daily draw results scoring via my score and carts.
