but the same old equipment otherwise,
and no new staff for the Post Anaesthetic Recovery Room

• The KPC foundation is enthusiastic for us to take the team to Sangatta in 2012

• The polyclinic at Sangatta is not adequate at this stage to host even a part visit from Interplast

• KPC are committed to building a 100 bed facility and five theatres in Sangatta over the next 12 months.

• We are enthusiastic about the development in Sangatta with a reduction in need evident in Balikpapan, but are also very enthusiastic to maintain our hard earned goodwill in Balikpapan.

• We cannot see that the Polyclinic will have the new facility built, staffed and equipped in time for a visit in 2012.

• We would like to review the situation next visit.

• The plastic surgical residents and anaesthetic residents were amongst the best we have ever seen.

• Dr Michael Shaw, Consultant Anaesthetist from Ballarat joined us this year.

• Michael and I visited Surabaya on Friday/Saturday the 28^th/29^th of May to address a mini-conference organised by previous anaesthetic residents  who had been on the program to Balikpapan.

• Prof Edi from Surabaya is most enthusiastic that the program of visits from his department should continue
