Changes over these years

A subtle change in ownership saw more Tongans being involved with the project,

• loading the containers,
• being team members,
• raising funds,
• and assisting with the execution of the program in Tonga.

The Melbourne based chapter of the Fo'fo'anga club swings its weight behind the project.

The program was extended to the Cook Islands in 2008, as the development of dental facilities in Tonga had achieved a very satisfactory level in the years from 1996 - 2007. David Goldsmith thought that the donation of a complete dental suite by a retiring Melbourne dentist would be more needed in the Cooks.

This was the first dental visit to the Cook Islands
